Our Biblical Counselors. Our counselors are under the supervision of our church leaders and are trained in the use of the Scriptures and the principles of Biblical Counseling. They are committed to the position that Scripture provides the only authoritative rule of faith and standard of conduct (2 Timothy 3:16-17). They do not base their counseling knowledge on their own opinions, experience, or concepts of behavior, but seek to marshall the full range of Biblical truth to bear on the counselee's needs (2 Peter 1:2-3; Isaiah 55:8-9).
The Biblical Counseling Sessions. The counselor will use the Word of God, along with his/her skill in applying those Biblical principles, to assist in whatever problem is depriving the counselee of the peace and joy that God has promised in His Word (Romans 14:17). Gather Data About the Problem. The counselor will inquire into the various levels of your difficulties in order to gather data about the problem you are experiencing in order to apply the appropriate Biblical principles to those problems (Proverbs 18:2,13; Galations 6:1-4). Give Hope. In Jesus Christ, we have a great High Priest who has been tempted in all things, yet is without sin (Hebrews 4:14-16). Even though you may be experiencing difficulties, God has promised that He will not give you more than you can bear and that He will provide a way of escape so that you may be able to endure (1 Corinthians 10:13). Biblical counseling can help you learn how to handle any problem you are dealing with victoriously!
